Costume Policy
NERO Epic is dedicated to presenting and maintaining a believable Fantasy/Medieval atmosphere as possible. To help us achieve that goal NERO Epic has a costume policy that outlines the minimum costume attempts that we find acceptable.
Everyone is expected to at least attempt to attend in a Base Minimum Costume.
Here is an example of what would and would not be considered a costume attempt.
Good
Pants/Skirts- Period-esque Slacks, wrap pants, Ren style tights. No blue jean (no denim) pants.
Shirt- Renaissance Shirt, Sewn Tabard w/belt, Surcoat
Shoes- Boots, period-esque foot ware (moccasins, Catskill/Sodhopper, Son of Sadler style boots)
Base Minimum
Pants- Black jeans, Jersey Sweat Pants
Shirt- Plain large dress shirt (cut collar and pocket off), Plain long t-shirt (no logos or designs), Basic un-sewn tabard w/belt
Shoes- single color "Combat" boots, Roper style Cowboy boots, dark no logo tennis shoes
Not a costume
Pants- Blue Jeans, Blue Jean Shorts, Any other style shorts, Cargo Pants with zippers, Fluorescent Colored sweat pants, Wind suit style pants
Shirt- Logo T-shirts (no Metallica, Godsmack etc...) Sports Bra's (with no apparent costume, armor, shirt etc... to cover them), Fluorescent T-shirts, no going shirt-less (you'll be fined In-Game by the Town and Forest Watch)
Shoes- White or brightly colored tennis shoes, shoes with bright logos on them
If you are coming to NPC for us then we ask that you come in shirts, pants, and shoes that at least meet the Base Minimum requirements.
Remember that everyone is expected to be in a costume. This does not need to be an elaborate costume. It just needs to be an actual attempt at a costume. If you are not in costume then you are not In Game and all other players should and will ignore you
If you are having difficulty with creating a costume then contact our staff and we will give you as much help as possible. You should also check our Links page for costume resources on-line.
